Benedictine D.O.M. Liqueur (750ml)

  • In stock

The original French herbal liqueur from Fecamp, Normandy, distilled since 1863 from a recipe of twenty-seven plants and spices on a neutral beet-root alcohol base. No wine, no brandy, no grape derivatives — the classic Chassidic farbrengen liqueur, often called the Rebbe's drink.

Mood: Honey, hyssop, hush.

Our sommelier says
Sip it neat after a heavy seudah, or pour an ounce into hot tea on a Motzei Shabbos winter night — that is how it has always been drunk.

Tasting notes

Aromas of honey, dried citrus peel, juniper, and warm baking spice. The palate is rich and lightly viscous — saffron, vanilla, angelica root, a thread of dark honey. Finish is long, herbal, and gently warming with a bittersweet close.

Food pairing

Best after the meal — alongside dark chocolate, a slice of honey cake, or simply on its own. Mixes cleanly into hot tea, a Singapore Sling, or a brandy-free B&B alternative.
