How Much Wine for a Simcha
The number we give at the counter is one bottle of wine for every three to four adults, per meal. Put in how many adults are coming and the calculator turns that into bottles and cases.
It counts wine only. Whiskey, vodka and the rest of the spirits shelf go in the same order and arrive in the same delivery. If someone who is not shomer Shabbos will be pouring, keep the wine to the mevushal shelf; what mevushal means is explained here.
A case is twelve 750ml bottles. Twelve or more 750ml bottles of wine in one cart take ten percent off the wine, automatically at checkout. Spirits and other sizes do not count toward the twelve.
