Yatir Creek (Nahal Yatir) is a red blend from Yatir Winery in the Judean Hills, made from high-elevation fruit grown near the Yatir Forest. It is dense and structured, and it is non-mevushal for the serious Shabbos table.

Among Israel's most serious labels is Yatir Winery. Creek is its approachable side, but decant it anyway.
Tasting notes
The nose has concentrated black cherry and cassis, lifted by Mediterranean herb. On the full-bodied palate there is layered dark fruit, firm tannin and warm spice. A warming, long finish follows.
Food pairing
It is made for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, brisket, hard aged cheeses, or a cholent at Shabbos lunch.
