Tasting Notes
Ripe cherry, plum, and warm dried herb on the nose with a whisper of leather and violet. The palate is medium-full and savory, with sour-cherry acidity, plum fruit, and Tuscan tobacco-and-cedar spice framed by firm ripe tannins. The finish is warm and dry, herbal and clean.
Food Pairing
A workhorse Italian Shabbos red. Ideal with pasta al ragu, roast chicken, veal osso buco, or a mushroom-forward risotto. Also beautiful with hard aged pecorino or grana-style cheeses (kosher versions).
