Israel's ancient soil and long growing season nurture the fine merlot fruit behind Recanati Merlot. The grapes are picked by hand and pressed gently, and the wine then spends eight months in French oak. It is garnet in color and medium-bodied, the accessible face of the Recanati portfolio.

The nose gives generous fruit aromas of ripe cherry and red berry, with a whisper of vanilla from French oak. It is medium-bodied and rounded on the palate, where soft tannins carry a plush core of red fruit and warm spice. The smooth finish lingers, lifted by vanilla oak.
