Pescaja Soliter is a single-vineyard Barbera d'Asti from the small Pescaja estate in Piedmont. A classical Piedmontese Barbera at its high acidity and bright red-fruit best.

Tasting notes

The nose lifts ripe red cherry, plum, and a soft violet lift over a light savory edge. The palate is medium-bodied and lively, with red-fruit weight, a whisper of dried herb, and Barbera's classic bright acidity carrying through soft ripe tannins. The finish is long and clean, with a lingering red-cherry note and a subtle earth grip.

Food pairing

A classical partner for pasta bolognese, veal, herbed chicken, hard cheeses, and rich pasta dishes. Also holds up to Shabbos brisket and roast.
