Patron Silver Tequila (750ml)

Patron Silver is the unaged flagship of the Patron Spirits Company in Jalisco. It is distilled at Hacienda Patron from 100% Weber blue agave that is roasted in small brick ovens. Star-K lists it as a 100% agave tequila acceptable year-round, including Pesach, and it is not aged in non-kosher wine casks.

Mood: crisp agave classic.

Tasting notes

Fresh agave and citrus zest, with a whisper of black pepper. It is smooth and light, with sweet agave, lime pith, and a faint mineral salinity. The finish is clean, peppery, and short, which is exactly what a blanco should be.

Pairing

It is the default for a paloma or margarita on Pesach. At a Yom Tov lunch it is also a clean foil for guacamole and ceviche.
