Matar is Pelter Winery's kosher arm in the Golan Heights, and the Petit Verdot is its boldest single-varietal — a grape usually reserved for blending, here given the lead. Inky, peppered, and built for serious meals.

Crushed blackberry, violet, black pepper, and cedar. Full-bodied with firm tannin, dark fruit, and a savory herbal underlay. Long and grippy, with spice and graphite holding the close.
