Matar Chardonnay (750ml)

Matar is the kosher sister of the celebrated Pelter winery. It was established so that a mashgiach has free rein over a premium Chardonnay made with no compromise. The fruit is hand-picked in the Galilee, the wine spends eight months in oak, and richness is balanced with restraint.

Mood: Polished, restrained, refined.

Tasting notes

It opens with jasmine, honey, ripe pear, and a touch of toasted oak. The body is medium to full, with creamy pear, citrus zest, and subtle vanilla, and it is never blowsy. The finish is long, bright, and gently mineral.

Pairing

Serve it with roast chicken, a creamy mushroom risotto, or butter-poached fish.
