Lvov Spirytus 192 Proof (750ml)

Lvov Spirytus is a rectified grain spirit from Poland, bottled at 192 proof. That is 96% alcohol by volume, which makes it one of the strongest commercially-available spirits in the world. Its job is to be a workhorse, the pure, high-strength ethanol behind homemade liqueurs, tinctures, herbal bitters, and vanilla extract.

Character

On the nose it is aggressive and clean, pure ethanol with a faint whisper of grain. Taken neat, the palate reads only as heat and burn, so this is not a spirit to drink undiluted. Once it is cut with water or fruit or spices, it turns into an efficient carrier for whatever flavor you're extracting.

How to Use

Steep it with vanilla beans for extract, infuse it with citrus peel for homemade limoncello, or blend it with herbs for bitters and tinctures. Always dilute it before consuming, because pure 192 proof is not for shots.
