High West Campfire Whiskey (750ml)
- In stock
High West founder David Perkins built Campfire after smelling peat at a Scotch distillery and wondering what would happen if he married bourbon, rye and peated Scotch in one glass. The result is the rare American whiskey with real wood smoke threaded through caramel and rye spice.
Mood: Smoky, Sweet, Inventive.
Sommelier’s note
“A wood fire in a bottle. Note: peated Scotch component is from non-wine casks per Star-K guidance, but confirm the current batch with your rav.”
Tasting notes
Caramel, butterscotch, light smoke and smoldering wood with chai tea and sandalwood. Vanilla, honey and toffee with blueberries, chai spice and salty caramel. Gentle smoke, tobacco and lingering spice.
Pairing
Sip neat by an actual fire, pair with grilled meats, or stir into a Penicillin riff.
