Herzog Variations French Oak Cabernet Sauvignon is made from North Coast California Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in red volcanic soil, aged entirely in new French oak barrels.

The French oak brings out notes of cassis, tobacco, coffee, vanilla, and spice, with smooth, round tannins. It's a companion to Herzog's American Oak Variations bottling, made to show the difference oak choice makes.
