This Cabernet comes from a single clone grown in the volcanic-ash soils of Chalk Hill. It spends twenty-one months in two distinct types of new French oak. It is Non-Mevushal, and it is made for the host who decants before guests arrive.

Tasting notes

Bold blackberry, anise, crushed herb, and vanilla bean, with a whisper of sugar cookie. It is full-bodied, with firm tannins and deep cassis and dark plum, layered with French oak spice over a savory mineral spine. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, baking spice, and lingering oak.
