Yaegaki, the venerable Hyogo brewer behind much of America's premium sake supply, makes Hana Fuji Apple, a light, slightly sweet flavored sake. A Junmai sake base is infused with natural Fuji-apple flavor. Served chilled over ice, it tastes like fresh orchard apple with a clean rice-wine spine.

Tasting notes
Fresh Fuji apple and white blossom, with a faint hint of pear and steamed rice. It is light-bodied and off-dry, and the juicy apple fruit comes with a clean sake backbone and gentle sweetness. It ends short, crisp and refreshing, without heat or bitterness.
Pairing
Serve with sushi, sashimi, teriyaki chicken, spicy tuna, or fruit and cheese. Over ice it is a simple aperitif.
