Dalton's Pink Moscato is a low-alcohol, lightly fizzy moscato from the Upper Galilee, given its blush color by twenty-four hours of skin contact before fermentation is stopped at barely 5%. Sweet, juicy, and built for dessert tables, not dinner.

Mood: The Bartenura crowd that wants pink instead of blue. The Shabbos dessert course that needs something fizzy without a hangover.

Our sommelier says
Pale strawberry-pink in the glass, with a fine bead of bubbles that settles into a soft fizz. The nose is unmistakably Muscat - ripe peach, orange blossom, candied strawberry, a lift of rose petal. The palate is sweet but bright, with juicy red berries, pink grapefruit, and a low-alcohol weightlessness that's unusual in the kosher pink-moscato category. Finish is clean, floral, and not cloying. Serve cold, 4-6 degrees, with cake.

Strawberry, ripe peach, orange blossom, rose petal. Lightly effervescent, juicy, sweet but lifted, with pink grapefruit and red-berry brightness. Clean, floral, low-alcohol finish.

Food pairing

Strawberry cheesecake at the Shavuos table, fresh fruit platters at kiddush, chocolate-dipped strawberries on a Yom Tov dessert course. A natural fit anywhere a sweet, fizzy pour is wanted instead of a heavy red.
