Dalton Matatia Cabernet Sauvignon (750ml)

Dalton Winery's single-vineyard flagship, Matatia, is a memorial wine named for founder Mati Haruni. Its fruit comes from a hillside block in the Upper Galilee. This is the most serious Cabernet the estate makes, and it is produced only in vintages with enough depth to earn the label.

Mood: Reserved, deep, flagship.

Tasting notes

Dark plum, blackcurrant, cedar, and a wisp of tobacco. Dark cherry and dense cassis, wrapped in cool mountain acidity and ripe, well-integrated tannin. Focused and long, with a gentle spice of oak and stone.

Food pairing

Serve it with brisket, a slow-braised shoulder of lamb, or a standing rib roast on Yom Tov.
