Cignozza Chianti Riserva DOCG is the upper tier from La Cignozza — Tuscany's small kosher footprint — bottled only in vintages the family considers worth holding. Selected Sangiovese with longer aging delivers the structured, savory side of Chianti: sour cherry, dried herb, tobacco, real tannic backbone.

The base Chianti is for pizza night. The Riserva is for when you've actually fired up the grill. Longer aging, tighter tannins, more savory depth — it can sit next to a serious cut of beef and not back down.
Tasting notes
Sour cherry, dried herb, tobacco leaf, a whiff of leather and forest floor. Medium-to-full bodied with firm, grippy tannins and savory dark fruit through the mid-palate. Long, savory finish. Decant 45 to 60 minutes; will reward another 3 to 5 years in the cellar.
Food pairing
Bistecca alla fiorentina, osso buco, lamb shank, aged hard cheeses, Sunday rib roast, mushroom-and-truffle pasta.
