A kosher Grand Cru Classé from one of Haut-Médoc's most historic estates — Chateau La Tour Carnet, ranked in the 1855 classification and owned today by Bernard Magrez. Medium garnet-purple, earthy and floral with red and black fruit, and the kind of pedigree that earns the long pour at Yom Tov.

Tasting Notes

Black cherry, cassis, dried violet, cedar, a touch of pencil shavings and earth. Medium-bodied with plenty of energy — red and black fruits in tight focus, fine-grained tannins, savory mid-palate with notes of leather and tobacco. Long and structured with cedar, dark fruit, and a refined mineral edge.

Food Pairing

Standing rib roast, dry-aged steak, leg of lamb, slow-braised short ribs, or a holiday meal where the wine is the point.

An 1855 Grand Cru Classé that's kosher AND KFP — Bernard Magrez doesn't make ordinary wine, and this is what kosher Bordeaux collectors put away for the bar mitzvah.

Cassis, cedar, classified-growth gravitas.
