The original Tunisian fig eau-de-vie, distilled by the Bokobsa family since 1880. Boukha ("alcohol vapor" in Judeo-Arabic) is a smooth, crystal-clear fig brandy that anchors North African Jewish celebrations from Rosh Hashanah to Purim and Pesach.
Mood: Warm. Fragrant. Ancestral.
Tasting notes
Dried Mediterranean fig up front, layered with almond blossom, honeyed raisin, and a whisper of cinnamon. Silky and dry on the palate, with concentrated fig fruit, a touch of orchard nuttiness, and no rough edges. Long, clean, faintly spiced finish — warming without heat.
Food pairing
Traditional as the Sephardic digestif — pour a small measure neat after a Shabbos or Yom Tov meal. Beautiful with dried figs, dates, walnuts, halva, or a slice of honey cake. Also an elegant base for a Purim toast or an unusual Pesach kiddush pour.
