Built around Dave Scheurich's Woodford Reserve pedigree and Royal Wine's access to actual kosher port barrels — most port-finish whiskies fail kashrut on the cask source alone. Boondocks is OU-certified because the port casks are too. Pour neat in a Glencairn.
Tasting notes
Raisin, vanilla bean, dark cherry, and a curl of cedar smoke. Bourbon caramel up front, then port-driven stewed dark fruit, fig, and baking spice through the mid-palate. Long, warming, gently sweet with oak tannin and a final whisper of toasted nut.
Food pairing
Neat in a Glencairn after dinner, alongside dark chocolate or pecan-praline desserts, or built into a kosher Manhattan.
