Besado Platinum Tequila - (750ml)

This 100% blue agave blanco comes from Jalisco and is lightly infused with three botanicals: maca root, damiana, and ginseng. That is what separates it from the standard silver category. At 40% (80 proof) in the bottle, it drinks softer and more aromatic than a straight Blanco.

Tasting notes

Fresh agave and cracked black pepper come first, lifted faintly by sweet-herbal damiana and citrus oil. The palate is soft and round, where gentle agave sugar is carried by hints of ginseng root and bright lime zest. The finish is warm and clean with almost no burn, engineered for drinking neat or chilled.

Food pairing

It is at its best chilled as a shot, or stirred into a margarita with fresh lime. It gets along with carne asada, ceviche, citrus-marinated chicken, and, at the end of the night, dark chocolate.
