Barkan Classic Shiraz (750ml)

This is a Mediterranean take on Syrah, from Barkan's vineyards on the Samson plain. It is light handed, fruit-led, and mevushal, and it is made to be poured cold from the Shabbos fridge without losing its shape.

Mood: Peppery, plummy, weeknight.

Tasting notes

Black plum and blueberry, then cracked pepper and a whisper of smoke. Medium-bodied with soft tannin, and a savory edge on the juicy black-fruit core. Gently dry, peppery, clean.

Pairing

Serve with grilled chicken, kebab, Moroccan tagine, eggplant parmigiana, or a roast on Friday night.
