The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year matures first in traditional whisky oak and is then finished in first-fill sherry oak. Using two casks this way adds dried-fruit depth.

Tasting notes

The nose gives dried fruit, honey, oak, vanilla and warm spice. Smooth on the palate, it shows oak, honey, dried fruit and a gentle sherry lift. The finish is warming and clean.
