Zion MeHaMartef Antique Red Sweet Wine (750ml)

MeHaMartef means "from the cellar," and it is the flagship antique sweet red of Zion Winery. It is a long-aged Jerusalem tradition, drawn from the deep reserves of Israel's oldest kosher winery, which Rabbi Mordechai Avraham Shor founded in 1848. The label recalls an ancient parchment scroll, and the wine inside carries the same weight of history.

Mood: velvet, reverent, cellar-dark.

Tasting Notes

The nose brings dark cherry conserve, fig, and dried date, layered with cedar and old oak. Opulent and sweet on the palate, it shows prune, cocoa, and roasted carob, all smoothed by decades of barrel age. The finish is long and warming, with honeyed spice and dried orange peel lingering.

Food Pairing
