The grapes for Unorthodox Sauvignon Blanc come from Paarl, off the rolling foothills of the Cape. The nose is tropical fruit and the palate has crisp minerality. It is dry and easy for the Shabbos table.

Kosher South African wine is rare, and this bottle is very good value. Chill it hard, then pour it at a summer Shabbos lunch.
Tasting notes
The nose has passion fruit, gooseberry and lemon zest. On the palate it is mineral and crisp, with a well-rounded body and good acidity. A clean finish follows, with a lift of citrus.
Food pairing
Grilled fish, salads, mezze, and dairy lunches all go beautifully with it. It can also stand up to lightly spiced Moroccan chicken.
