From Israel's oldest family winery, Teperberg Impression Cabernet Sauvignon is the value red. The winery was founded in 1870 in the Judean Hills and is now anchored in the Samson region. This is a full-bodied Cab that is mevushal and made to be an everyday pour at the Shabbos table.

"A working Cab from Israel that is good value. It has ripe plum and blackcurrant with a soft oak lift. It is dry enough to hold up to brisket, and mevushal so the caterer can pour it."
Tasting notes
It is deep ruby, with aromas of ripe plum, blackcurrant, cedar, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate it is dry and full-bodied, showing cassis, black cherry, tobacco, and a warm oak spice midpoint. The finish is softly warming, gently tannic, and medium-long.
Food pairing
Serve it with roast chicken, Shabbos brisket, cholent, meat kugels, grilled lamb, or hard cheeses. For the Israeli family shulchan it is a workhorse Cab for the main course.
