Spokusa Cherry Temptation Liqueur (700ml)
- In stock
Spokusa Cherry Temptation is a Ukrainian cherry liqueur made in the traditional vishnivka (вишнівка) way, with sour cherry macerated into grain spirit and then sweetened. It is produced by Bayadera Group's National Alcohol Company and won gold at the 2024 London Spirits Competition. This is a Ukrainian classic wearing a folk-art label.
Mood: cherry-sweet, warm, celebratory.
The bottle that used to appear at every simcha in Brooklyn. Chilled in a shot glass after cholent, or splashed over ice with seltzer.
Tasting Notes
The aroma is vivid sour cherry, with a whisper of dried plum and hibiscus. On the palate it is cherry-forward and sweet, where ripe fruit meets a light warmth from the spirit. Gentle almond and dried fruit carry the finish, with the balance of an old-world liqueur.
Food Pairing
By tradition it is poured after a heavy Shabbos meal, at a Purim seudah, or as a l'chaim shot at a simcha. It works as well splashed into hot black tea, over vanilla ice cream, or in a spritz with a lemon twist and sparkling water.
