Sonoma Loeb Dignitary Cabernet Sauvignon is a mevushal Cab from Sonoma County. The grapes grow at the base of Chalk Hill, where volcanic soils and a warmer microclimate ripen the fruit deep. It is aged unfiltered for eighteen months in French oak, and it is one of the finer California kosher reds on the market.

Tasting notes

Ripe blackberry, black cherry, and cocoa open the nose, lifted by a subtle oak note of cedar and vanilla. It is full-bodied and layered on the palate, with dark-fruit richness, sweet spice, tobacco, and firm ripe tannins, all carried by long French-oak weight. The finish is long and structured, with cocoa, cedar, and a dark-berry note that lingers.

Food pairing

Save it for dry-aged steak, rack of lamb, prime rib, and rich Yom Tov brisket. It also holds up to slow-braised short ribs and hard aged cheeses.
