Psagot Dessert Wine (500ml)

A late-harvest Chardonnay from the Judean Hills, Psagot Dessert Wine is picked by hand once the fruit has concentrated on the vine, then bottled as a 500ml half-bottle. It is apricot-driven and honeyed, made under Badatz supervision.

Mood: Honeyed, decadent, patient.

Tasting notes

The nose shows honeyed pastry, dried apricot and orange peel, plus a whisper of ginger and beeswax. The palate is full-bodied and rich. Candied fruit comes first, honeyed sweetness fills the middle, and fine Chardonnay acidity holds it all together. The finish is layered and long, with apricot preserve, orange marmalade and a whisper of oak lingering.

Food pairing

Serve it with fruit tart, blue cheese, foie gras or apricot rugelach, or pour it by itself after a Yom Tov meal. Dark chocolate is a lovely match as well.
