Pescaja Klaris Chardonnay Mevushal (750ml)
- In stock
- Mevushal
- Kosher for Passover
From the Asti hills of Piedmont, Klaris is the Chardonnay of Pescaja, a food-friendly, bright white built for the Shabbos table. It is flash-pasteurized as mevushal, so anyone can pour it at kiddush and it keeps its liveliness.
Mood: Bright, orchard, honest.
"This chardonnay from Piedmont holds on to its citrus edge through the mevushal treatment. That is no small trick, and it is exactly why the bottle earns a slot on the table on Friday night."
Tasting Notes
Orchard blossom, white peach and grapefruit peel lift from the glass. On the palate it is fresh and soft, with a whisper of pear and green apple held together by low-key, clean acidity. The finish is dry, and a faint echo of almond lingers past the last sip.
Food Pairing
Reach for it with roasted branzino, Shabbos chicken, herbed schnitzel, or warm challah spread with za'atar and olive oil. It is just as much at home with a dairy lunch in summer of green salads and pasta primavera.
