Noble Oak Double Oak Bourbon (750ml)

Edrington's proprietary sherry oak staves are used to finish Noble Oak Double Oak Bourbon, and they give it the dried-fruit depth usually associated with Highland Park and Macallan. In some kosher opinions a sherry-oak-finish bourbon carries wine-cask cautions, and this bottle is uncertified. It is listed here for reference, and observant customers should choose a certified bourbon.

Tasting notes

On the nose, caramel, dried fig, and a soft vanilla oak note lift over a warm baking spice. On the palate it is layered and full-bodied, and the sherry-oak influence carries brown sugar, dried fruit, a Highland-Park-like cocoa note, and a whisper of leather. The finish is warm and long, with a subtle sherry sweetness and dried fruit that lingers.
