Netofa Tel Qasser Red (750ml)
- In stock
- Kosher for Passover
The flagship blend at Netofa is Tel Qasser Red, which takes its cue from Portugal: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Syrah grown on Pierre Miodownick's Lower Galilee estate. Among Israeli reds it is the insider's pick, built in a serious Iberian mold.
Mood: Iberian, structured, insider.
Sommelier's note
"Netofa's flagship has a Portuguese heart. Polished tannin sits under dark fruit, violet, and a wisp of black tea. Pour it at a Shabbos table that knows Douro."
Tasting notes
The color is deep ruby, and the nose brings black plum, blueberry, violet, and a hint of licorice. Dry and full-bodied on the palate, it shows blackberry, dark chocolate, and black tea, held by firm elegant tannin. A long, structured finish closes floral-spiced.
Food pairing
Serve it with grilled lamb, herbed roast, brisket with fig or plum reductions, mushroom risotto, or aged hard cheeses. This is a serious red for the main course on Shabbos or yom tov.
