This is Kedem's dessert-sweet bottle, made for the after-dinner pour, and it is rounder and richer than the Concord.
Mood: After-cholent nap, fruit-and-cake dessert table, the bottle the bubbies ask for.
Our sommelier says
The color is dark ruby, and the nose is richer and leans more to dessert than straight Concord, with cooked grape, raisin, and a hint of toffee. On the palate it is full-sweet and plush, with a profile closer to a tawny than to a kiddush wine, and it finishes with a soft warmth. It is mevushal and KFP, so it fits a Pesach dessert course just as well as a Shabbos seudah shlishit.
Tasting notes
Cooked grape, raisin, candied cherry and light toffee. A round, rich body, plush and sweet. It ends soft and warming, with dessert length.
Food pairing
Serve with fruit, pound cake, baked apples, halvah, or a cheese plate (after the meat wait). Also for the four cups, for those who like it sweet.
