Jose Cuervo Silver Especial (750ml)

This is the tequila that turned silver into a household pour. The Cuervo family distills it in Tequila, Jalisco, where they have made agave spirits since 1795. Especial Silver is bright and unaged, built to hold its own in a shot with lime and salt or to disappear into a margarita.

Tasting Notes

Fresh cut agave and white pepper, with a soft citrus lift and a lick of vanilla that comes from the sugar cane blend. It is medium-bodied and clean, with green agave up front followed by a warm creaminess that keeps it easy to drink neat. The finish is clean, peppery, and short, with a whisper of vanilla that fades quickly.

Pairing

It is the default margarita, cold and salt-rimmed. It is good too in a paloma with grapefruit soda, or straight with salt and lime next to guacamole, carne asada, and mango salsa.
