Jezreel Valley's flagship blend - Syrah, Carignan, and the Israeli-bred Argaman grape, mevushal, named for the valley's deep Jewish history.
Mood: The simcha buffet that wants something off the standard Cab-Merlot path. The host who picks Jezreel Valley because they like supporting an Israeli-grape boutique producer.
Our sommelier says
Bright ruby. The nose is layered and savory - black and white pepper, nutmeg, clove over a caramel oak signature, the spicy Mediterranean fingerprint of the Jezreel terroir. Syrah brings the peppery weight, Carignan adds savory mid-palate density, Argaman (a uniquely Israeli grape) gives the deep color and herbal lift. Medium-to-full body with rounded tannin softened by the mevushal heating without losing character. Long, delightful finish. The mevushal Israeli-grape blend that drinks like a boutique bottle.
Tasting notes
Black pepper, white pepper, nutmeg, clove, caramel. Medium-to-full, rounded tannin, savory mid-palate, spice-driven. Long, peppery, gently sweet-spiced.
Food pairing
Grilled lamb kebabs, merguez, brisket, herb-roasted chicken, hard cheese (after the wait), Friday-night simchas.
