Grown on the warm gravel benches of Alexander Valley, this Sonoma Cabernet spends eighteen months in French and American oak. It is polished and Mevushal, made for a long Shabbos lunch.

Mood: Dark fruit, sweet oak, easy gravitas.

Tasting notes

Dark cherry, blackberry and licorice, with a thread of cocoa-dusted oak. The body is medium-to-full and the tannins rounded, with layered cassis, mocha, and a savory cedar mid-palate. It is long, and dark fruit and sweet vanilla linger over fine-grained tannin.

Food pairing

Grilled lamb chops, brisket, roasted turkey, or a rich pasta with wine-braised meat.
