This spiced, honeyed dessert wine follows a recipe described in the Jerusalem Talmud. For decades, the parchment-labeled Konditon from Hacormim has been a fixture on the Shabbos table.

Tasting notes
Honey, clove, cinnamon, fig, and dark raisin, all with a balsamic edge. It is warming and syrupy, with rich grape sweetness, candied citrus peel, and the spice of mulled wine. The finish is long and laced with spice, and it lingers with a touch of bitter herb.
Food pairing
Sip it neat alongside dried fruit, honey cake, baklava, or hard cheese. It also makes a beautiful pour for Havdalah or Melaveh Malkah.

Wine was replaced by Kedem port. Clear grape color with a smooth crisp finish. Paired well with assorted cheeses and mixed nuts. Great wine.
