Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera (750ml)

For its 15-Year Solera, Glenfiddich draws whisky from sherry, bourbon, and new oak casks, then marries it in a hand-built Solera vat that is never less than half full. What comes out is layered, warming, and unmistakably Speyside.

Mood: Honey, oak, heather.

Tasting notes

Honeyed malt and marzipan come with sherry sweetness and faint cinnamon. It is full-bodied, with rich dried fruit, oak spice, and a creamy core of malt. The finish is long and warming, with toffee and gentle smoke.

Food pairing

Pour it neat in a Glencairn, with dark chocolate or aged hard cheese.
