Chateau Les Riganes Bordeaux (1.5L Magnum)

Chateau Les Riganes is a classic dry red Bordeaux from Entre-Deux-Mers. It is mevushal and kosher for Passover. This 1.5L magnum is the workhorse Bordeaux for a full table on Shabbos or Yom Tov.

Tasting notes

Ripe blackcurrant and plum lead the nose, with a soft cedar note over a light herbal edge. It is medium-bodied and structured on the palate, with black-fruit weight, a whisper of vanilla oak, and the classic drying tannin of Bordeaux. The finish is clean and warm, with a dark-fruit note that lingers and a subtle savory grip.

Food pairing

It is a classical partner for Shabbos brisket, roast lamb, herbed chicken, and cholent, and it is comfortable with hard aged cheeses too. The magnum ages a beat longer than the standard 750ml.
