George Clooney and Rande Gerber built Casamigos Reposado, a Jalisco tequila, for their friends before the world caught on. It rests seven months in American white oak, and it drinks like a sipping spirit that can still work a margarita.

Tasting notes

The nose has cooked agave, soft caramel, and toasted oak, along with a whisper of vanilla. On the palate it is silky, with sweet agave first, oak spice in the middle, and a clean note of cocoa and vanilla underneath. The finish is warm and long, showing light oak and a hint of salted caramel.

Food pairing

It is perfect neat or over one big rock. It is also great with brisket tacos, grilled skirt steak, or a smoky twist on an old-fashioned.
