Casa al Vento T'amo Toscana Rosso IGT (750ml)
- In stock
- Kosher for Passover
Borgo Casa al Vento is an organic estate in the Chianti hills above Gaiole, and T'amo is its everyday red. The blend is 50/50 Sangiovese and Merlot. It ferments on the skins for nearly a month, then rests ten months in oak.
Mood: Tuscan, savory, rustic.
Sommelier's note
"This is real Chianti-country wine in disguise. The IGT label keeps it honest, and the good value doesn't hurt."
Tasting notes
Black cherry, dried herb, leather, plum, and a touch of cedar. It is dry and full-bodied, with marked tannins, sour-cherry acidity, and a savory tobacco-and-earth core. The finish is long, drying, and faintly bitter-almond, a classic Sangiovese signature.
Pairing
Good with brisket, cholent, lamb chops, aged hard cheeses, or Friday night mushroom pasta. Decant it an hour before serving.
