Baron Edmond de Rothschild founded Carmel Winery in 1882, and the winery has long championed Emerald Riesling as an Israeli classic. In this Selected bottling it is blended with soft Chenin Blanc. The wine is mevushal, gently off-dry, and a kiddush favorite.

Mood: Floral, gentle, semi-dry.

Tasting notes

Ripe pear and white flowers, with a lift of citrus. Gently sweet and soft, showing fresh stone fruit and a honeyed floral note. Lightly sweet and clean, closing on refreshing citrus.

It fits naturally with kiddush spreads, gefilte fish, and pareve fish courses.
