Carmel King David Concord (750ml)
- In stock
- Mevushal
- Kosher for Passover
King David Concord from Carmel is the traditional Israeli Kiddush wine, and it has been sweet Concord in the glass for close to sixty years. It is deep purple, sweet and familiar. This is the bottle for HaGafen on Friday night, and for the four cups at the seder.
Mood: Sweet, classic, kiddush staple.
"A reliable sweet kiddush wine, and good value. On Friday night you pour it, the grandparents drink this, and the kids drink the grape juice."
Tasting Notes
It pours deep purple. The nose is intense Concord, with foxy grape and grape jam. Sweet, smooth and thick on the palate, it has classic Concord fruit and gentle acidity. The finish is long, clean and sweet.
Food Pairing
This is the Kiddush wine. Pour it for HaGafen after davening, for the four cups at the seder, and for guests who want something sweet. It also pairs with sponge cake, honey cake, and gefilte fish. Serve it lightly chilled.
