Beefeater London Dry Gin (750ml)

The modern gin renaissance was built on Beefeater London Dry Gin. It uses nine botanicals, with juniper up front and zesty lemon peel and Seville orange underneath, and it follows the original 1820 recipe of founder James Burrough. It is Star-K approved as unflavored gin, and it is the workhorse pour behind every proper G&T and Martini.

Tasting notes

Juniper leads, and Seville orange, lemon peel, coriander, and angelica lift out behind it. It is dry and crisp, with a juniper backbone through the middle and warm spice and citrus weaving around it. The finish is dry and clean, with a long echo of juniper and citrus.

Pairing

Use it as the base for a Negroni, a proper Gin Martini, or a tall Gin & Tonic with cucumber. Or sip it on ice with a lemon twist next to a cheese plate or smoked salmon.
