Baron Herzog's Chenin Blanc comes off California's Clarksburg AVA in the Sacramento Delta, a pocket of cool river breezes and volcanic loam that pushes Chenin toward something sharper and lighter than its Loire cousin. The Herzog family has been pulling this fruit for over four decades.

Tasting notes
Aromas open with pear, green apple, and a soft honeysuckle top note. The palate is medium-bodied and just off-dry, with citrus zest, peach, and a mineral streak from the Clarksburg loam. The finish is clean, briefly floral, and holds enough acid to keep it lively.
