Aura di Valerie Aglianico del Beneventano IGT (750ml)

Aglianico is Campania's signature black grape, and this southern Italian one comes from the volcanic hills around Benevento. It is made kosher and Mevushal under OU. Spicy and deep, it is meant for serious meat at the Shabbos table.

Mood: Dark, spicy, structured.

Tasting notes

Dried plum, black cherry, leather and baking spice, with a thread of volcanic earth. The body is medium-to-full and the tannins firm, with espresso, dark fruit and a savory mineral spine. Grippy and long, showing warm spice and cocoa.

Food pairing

Osso buco, roast lamb, brisket, a rich Shabbos cholent, or hard aged cheeses.
