The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)

The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch matured first in traditional American oak whisky casks for 12 years, then finished for around nine months in European oak ex-sherry (Oloroso) casks. Bottled at 43% ABV.

It's a smooth, balanced whisky with notes of honey, dried fruit, cinnamon, and vanilla, and a soft, warming finish. This is the whisky that established the modern "wood finishing" style, developed by longtime Balvenie malt master David Stewart.

The Balvenie distillery is in Speyside, Scotland, and has produced its own malted barley on-site since the 1800s.
