James E. Pepper 'Old Pepper' Bottled-in-Bond Rye Whiskey (750ml)
- In stock
Old Pepper Rye revives the historic 'Old Pepper' label originally produced by Colonel James E. Pepper, once marketed as "The Oldest and Best Brand of Whiskey made in Kentucky." It is bottled-in-bond at 100 proof and made from a 100% rye mashbill, described by the distillery as a "pure rye."
It is aged a minimum of four years in new toasted and charred Kentucky oak barrels, distilled and bottled at the James E. Pepper Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. Tasting notes from the distillery describe it as complex and balanced, with chocolate peppermint and wildflower honey character.
