Gilgal Sangiovese 2014

 

This wine Gilgal Sangiovese was produced from Sangiovese grapes grown in the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing this classic variety. Aging for 12 months in oak barrels balances the floral, wild berry and light earthy notes of this Sangiovese with nuances of spice and vanilla. The finish is long and develops nicely, with more spicy and wood notes with a building acidity.
