Tasting notes
Dried fig, anise seed, cardamom, orange blossom. Round and lightly sweet — fig jam over clean anise. Long and warming, fig yielding to licorice.
Food pairing
Pesach mezze, lamb shank, dried fruit and nuts, or after the meal with strong coffee.

Zachlawi Fig Arak is wonderful liquor for those who want a more more subtle anise flavor, which is due to the wonderful sweet fig aftertaste. A beautiful amber color that is good either at room temperature or chilled.
